To celebrate, we broke out the sidewalk chalk. Below is my nephew, Henry, age four, and my daughter Maria, who is not four--in fact she's now an adult--but when Henry asked her to join him, she channeled her inner child and made a beautiful rainbow.
Sometimes, the simple pleasures are the best.

Keeping in touch with one's inner child is absolutely essential, I've found. Life can be pretty dreary otherwise.
